Self Care For Activists

Self Care for Activists is a two-hour workshop dedicated to preventing burnout in this age of non-stop activity. Self care is a radical, feminist act and is imperative to being an effective activist. Jill will guide you through meditation, exercises to discover your strengths as an activist and building your own self care menu, and creating a personal self care/activism calendar to best allocate your time and energy towards causes you care about.

Jill will help you get clear on your role in activism and empower you to put yourself high up on your priority list so you can best serve others as well. Let’s smash the patriarchy and take care of ourselves in the process!

About Jill: A certified health and wellness coach, Jill empowers feminists to crush the patriarchy AND their goals. She uses a body-positive, intuitive eating approach to health and also dives into the importance of self-care and it’s place in an activist’s life with her clients. She grew up in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA.

She has a BA in Communications from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, became a certified Health Coach through the Health Coach Institute, and is currently working towards becoming a Nutritional Therapist through the Nutritional Therapy Association (prospective graduate date: June 2017.) She also sings in a band (Young Go Hards) and has two dogs, a bunny, and a cat. In her free time, she volunteers with The Benevolent Guild, a 501c3 dedicated to raising money for local children’s charities, and coaches for Girls on the Run. She really likes dragons and pizza.
